The Prague Playoffs represent the most anticipated season final of the Longines Global Champions Tour and the Global Champions League, turning the O2 Arena in Prague into the stage where the most prestigious titles of the circuit are decided. The unique atmosphere of the final, the spectacular course design, and the intensity of the knockout format make this event one of the most exciting moments of the year, bringing together the best riders and horses from around the world in a context of pure sporting adrenaline.
The format of the Prague Playoffs proved to be ruthless: after the quarter-finals and semi-finals, only six teams advanced to the GCL Super Cup final, turning Sunday into a competition of the highest tension. The classic reduction to six teams for the final round makes the GCL Super Cup one of the most spectacular and unpredictable formats on the entire circuit.
The trophy was lifted by the Rome Gladiators, who excelled over two combined rounds managed with cold precision. A decisive contribution came from Peder Fredricson riding Alcapone des Camilles, delivering two clear rounds that were instrumental to the team’s success. Behind them, Valkenswaard United with Hans-Dieter Dreher on Elysium secured second place with an outstanding performance.
In the LGCT Super Grand Prix, the individual final of the circuit, Marco Kutscher stood out with an excellent performance, finishing seventh with Catelly in a contest that brought together the season’s top combinations.
