Keri Potter

Keri Potter has been riding horses competitively her entire life, and is based now in Del Mar California where she rides and trains out of Tres Palomas. Keri has ridden and competed all over the world, including Europe, where she lived for 7+ years. She was married to Rodrigo Pessoa in the 90’s where they were based out of Belgium. She was able to compete at the top level in Europe and was successful alongside her husband at the time.

Here are a few highlights in Keri’s career.

As a Junior:

-Winner of the AHSA Hunt Seat Medal Finals, WCE finals and Maclay Regionals

-Gold medal at Young Riders and Harrisburg Zone final in the Junior Jumper division

-Won 7 classes in a row at Spruce Meadows including section 1 and 2 Grand Prix

-2017, Winner of $55,000 4* GP in Thermal and of a few other Nationals in California

In 2018 she won a CSI 3* GP in California on a horse named Bitalica. He has also has won a few other national Grand Prix and placed in most Grand Prix entered. They qualified to jump on the USA Nations Cup team in Thunderbird this past summer. They were clear in the 2 classes before the Nations Cup and then he unfortunately suffered from colic and was unable to compete.

2019- In Coachella weeks 1-3, Keri was 2nd, 3rd, 3rd, and 7th in the GPs and 1st in 1.40 Classic.

Winner of the $75,000 3* Grand Prix at Show Park

Multiple top 3 finishes in Grand Prix including many World Cup Qualifiers

-2020 Keri started the year off great by winning 3 Grand Prix at the Desert International Horse Park, including 2 3* FEI Grand Prix’s. She was second in 3 other Grand Prix, and ended up Leading Rider of the winter circuit.

2021- 1st in the Temecula GP

Keri was a bit light on horses for herself but trained many juniors to multiple wins at the GP level and a young rider who finished in the top 20 in Traverse City.

She loves bringing up young horses: ”It is a very rewarding and fun part of my job”.
