Giulia Martinengo Marquet is one of the leading figures in Italian and international show jumping. A professional rider and member of the Italian Air Force since 2004, she has built her career on consistency, determination, and a deep understanding of the horse. Known for her elegance in the saddle and her dedication to developing young horses, she has established herself over the years as one of the most respected voices in Italian equestrian sport.
Giulia began her competitive career at a very young age, immediately showing great technical sensitivity and a long-term vision for the growth of sport horses. In addition to her many individual achievements, she has always demonstrated a strong team spirit, proudly representing Italy in Nations Cups and major international championships.
Throughout her career, she has claimed three titles as Italian Senior Champion: in 2015, 2018, and 2024. In the latter edition, riding the promising Istafan Sissi, she won gold with a solid and mature performance, confirming her position among the top Italian female riders of the past decades.
In December 2024, she achieved one of her most important results: second place in the prestigious Rolex Grand Prix in Geneva, riding Delta de l’Isle.
In 2025, Giulia joined the Iron Dames – Cannes Stars team, the first all-female team in the Longines Global Champions Tour and Global Champions League. The Iron Dames project was created to promote female talent in top-level sport, and Giulia’s inclusion is a testament to a career built on merit, experience, and competitive spirit.
Among her most notable team results in 2025 are her participation in the European Championships and the Nations Cup at Piazza di Siena. In the latter, she played a key role as Italy’s fourth rider. With Delta de l’Isle, she delivered a clear round that contributed to the team’s prestigious third-place.
Beyond results, what sets Giulia apart is her approach to work: she personally oversees the development of her horses, guiding them from their early steps to the highest levels, with attention to their individual traits and the creation of a real partnership.
Throughout her career, she has brought out the best in many horses, including Calle Deluxe, Fixdesign Pop Lady d’Elle, Delta de l’Isle, and Captain Morgan Weering Z.
Giulia remains a role model for the new generation of riders and equestrian enthusiasts—a true symbol of professionalism, passion, and devotion to the horse.
